Day 22

Day 23

 The last day in Disneyland.
January 23.
It rained the first part of the day. The girls were socking wet and cold. They started crying and complaining saying they wanted to go home, we fell awful and almost left. Luckily the sun came out and we had an extra change of shoes and clothes. Everything was fun and smiles once the rain stop and the little ones were dry again, then we were able to stay and enjoy the last day there.

Jocie was JUST tall enough. Had we gone a month before she would not been the right height.

Los Frost with Mickey.
Baby looks like a little ninja in this picture.

Day 14

I am 4 days behind on my one picture a day challenge. There's a reason for it. My little Ry-guy as been sick. He's had strep throat over the past 4 days.  We have been up all night for the past 3 nights, but he is doing so much better today. He slept in until 9 am and woke up talking and smiling. I think the worst is over, just on time to star getting ready for our trip to DISNEYLAND this coming weekend! The girls are so excited to be getting on an airplane for the first time! We'll see how things go with the baby.  We'll have lots of picture to share coming up for sure! Anyway, I have been taking pictures on a memory card that my husband just emptied and formatted for me, and just as I went to download my pictures today I find that the computer can't read them for some reason. Grrrrrrr! I hate it when this happens! I hate to loose pcitures!! So there will be no pictures to post for these past 4 days, unless my husband can figure out how to fix this problem. I guess I'll just have to post something old, I have lots of pictures that don't make it unto this blog since the challenge is ONE picture a day.

He is a Frost all right!

Snowy bliss

Musical chairs
My kids don't have a lot of cousins to visit with, most of them are back in Texas and Mexico. So buelito y buelita get to fill in.

Day 10.

Day 10
 January 10, 2012
Daddy fell asleep on the couch.

The day ended, the kids are in bed, and I realized I did not take a picture today. I look around and see daddy asleep on the couch. This is how he goes out on the days that he is not working until really, really late at night. He is such a hard worker that husband of mine. He drops off the kids at school in the mornings, goes to work and then comes home to give the kids of his time and attention even though he might be so tired. Today he had to put up with me after work at IKEA. He hates shopping even more than I do (except for IKEA, I love IKEA!). I could tell he was at his last rope, but he pulled through. I love this guy!

He is 4 months old!

Baby turned 4 months a couple of days ago. I am planning on taking a picture of him every month until he turns 1 and then making a calendar with all those pictures. This will be fun to look back on and see him change month by month. Right now he is very alert, he wants to grab everything that he sees in front of him, so carrying him in the baby carrier while I prepare something in the kitchen does not work anymore. He gets really worked up if he can not have whatever it is he sees in front of him. He loves to talk, specially to daddy. Daddy has a way of making him talk and giggle like no other. He is more comfortable with his sisters now, even excited to see them, sometimes. He as picked a blankie, and needs it to snuggle his little face against and fall asleep. He LOVES books! Really, a little too much. He can't control his excitement when he sees one. He is NOT sleeping through the night yet. I am not letting him cry it out like I did his sisters, but that might have to change soon, and it's going to be hard :(  It's funny how I feel about the  "cry it out" method now, than I did 6 and 4 years ago. We'll see. Happy turning 4 months to my little guy!

Day 8

Baby's first haircut.
January 8, 2012

On Sunday I got little Ry all ready for church, even put a little gel on his hair and doing this I realized how uneven his hair was. Most of his hair on the sides and the back was gone, except for some patches of long hair here and there that parting his hair on the top made him look like a little old guy with a comb over to hide his bald spot. So to even things out I decided it was time for a haircut! His first haircut. He did so good! Didn't complain and barely moved. I didn't buzz it all the way down, so he still has plenty of hair, more that many babies his age would have without a haircut. Needless to say, I think he looks handsome!

Day 7

Day 7
Making a snowman

Daddy gave the snowman a walking stick, but N said it was a Karate Bo.

We finally got some snow! And of course the girls were excited to go out and play in it. It started with all five of us out there, then the baby and I when MIA, followed by Jo. So daddy and N where left to finish the snowman. They did great!

Day 6.

I was going to post this:

Rosca de Reyes

In Mesxico a Rosca de Reyes is served on January 6th to celebrate the "Dia de los Reyes Magos"- Day of the Three Wise Men. In Southern Mexico this is the day when kids open presents that the Reyes bring to them, instead of Santa Claus After today the Holidays are  officially over. The tradition is to bake a Rosca with a plastic tiny little baby hidden inside. Whoever gets the plastic baby then hosts a party and serves tamales on the "Dia de la candelaria" on February 2. This marks 40 days after the "birth of Jesus" or after Christmas, when the baby was presented at the temple according to Jewish tradition.

Or this:

But then I found this:

Self portrait.

HA! Funny girl!

Day 5

Day 5
Big Sisters.

Days 3 and 4

 January 3, 2012
Jocie's heart

The first day back to school after the Winter Break I asked Jocie if she had missed me at school that day. She answered "NO", which I did not expect her to say, knowing the type of little person that she is. I think she noticed I was a little shocked by her answer, so she continued to say: "I didn't miss you because I had you in my heart the whole time mami!" -Now that's more like my Jojo!

January 4, 2012
Tummy time.

In the morning after I drop off the girls at school, Ryan and I come home  and get 3 hours all to ourselves! There's dishes to be washed, toys to be picked up, laundry to fold, and then there's my little Ryan. Mmmmm,  what to do!? ...I can't resist him, he wins!

I could not decide on ONE picture, so you get two for one :)

2012 One picture a day Challenge. Day 1.

Sunday, January 1 2012.
Playing musical chairs to "The Nutcracker" at buelitas house.

I am starting a ONE PICTURE A DAY challenge for 2012. I am not the best blogger and not very good at keeping a written record of my little family's days, I think they call it "keeping a diary"?So I thought this would be  a great incentive to start doing it. All, or most pictures will be about my kids (my husband might make it into a few shots too!) Some post might be just a picture long, other I might go more into detail. Let the challenge begin!
