"The smile on her face after the first goal was priceless. I wish that I had a way to print it out from my brain, as it is very imprinted there right now. It was one of those first-time experiences (of which you get many as a parent). I will cherish this one for a long time. She immediately turned to her dad and ran over. We both celebrated together. I am very thankful to her that she chose to celebrate that with me... I definitely feel at peace today." -Daddy

Day 84- Soccer
Soccer
Saturday March 23, 2012
The girls had their first soccer game of the season. This is the third season they play and the game is finally making sense to them!
Black is not her favorite color. I think she secretly wanted to be part of the purple team.
Jojo was doing awesome until she got hit on the face by the ball- No bleeding! She was such a good sport. She sobbed through the whole game, but kept running after that ball. My poor little thing!

Day 83- Cousins
Cousins
Friday March 22, 2012
Jo is mad cause I did not buy her that tiara she wanted.
After canceling and postponing a couple of weeks in a row- because of sicknesses, it finally happened and we got to see the cousins! We took the kiddos to Kangaroo Zoo out in North Salt Lake- a bouncy house playground. They loved it and had a lot of fun. While the kids played I was able to catch up with my cousin Evelin. We were really close through our childhood and practically grew up together. Who would have thought we'd get to see our own children play together. Anyway I guess we turned out alright, but I hope the new generation turns even better.
I love you to the moon
The girls and I have this little game that has kind of become a competition to see who can come up with the most creative way to say I love you. First it was who went the farthest and then one day Jocie thought to add walking, because that makes places way longer to get to, right? So that should mean more, right? Well she found an even more creative way that should take even longer and mean even more.

Day 82
Welcome Spring!
Thursday March 21
The day was beautiful! We had to go outside and enjoy the sun. So the girls and I had a little "homework pic-nic"- lay down a blanket in our front lawn (our back lawn is too shady) and sat down to do homework on it. Daddy came home right on time to join us. Welcome Spring! You are right on time!
Day 77
March 17, 2012
There is no one that can make this little boy smile as much as daddy does. These two love each other.
Day 76
FEEL BETTER TOWER
Friday March 16
I have not been feeling good all day, so my sweet Jojo made me a feel better card and built me this cool feel better tower. She put it on my night stand so I can look at it often. So thoughtful of her.

What the Avocado?
Tuesday March 13, 2012
I have been introducing little Ry (or Rayito, like Jojo calls him) to new foods over the past couple of weeks. Today's new food was Avocado, and I think you can tell how the story went by looking at this picture.

Day 72- Bouncing
Bouncing
Monday March 12, 2012
Every time I'd hold him standing up, whether it is on my lap or the floor he starts bouncing and loves it- It is another one of his new things. So I thought it was time to break out this little puppy! Le encanto!
The girls are playing with playdough we made a couple of days before and then cooking it in the microwave to harden and make "charms" with them. I didn't teach them to cook it, they just figure it. Clever little girls.

Laundry Basket Ride
Friday March 9, 2012
The girls took him for his laundry basket ride.
He liked it in there! His sisters were very gentle and careful. They take such good care of him. I think they've found a new passtime.
Day 68- Looking Out the Window
Looking out the window
Thursday March 8, 2012
He enjoys looking out the window. There's lots to see on our busy street: Cars, people, dogs, trees, sometimes snow. Soon there will be more colors: tree blossoms, green leaves, spring flowers. So much to learn and take in.

We love Sundays!

Day 62- Green Eggs and Ham
Green Eggs and Ham
Friday March 2, 2012
The girls had the day off of school on the same day as Dr. Seuss 106 birthday, so we had to take full advantage of it. We started the day off with breakfast- Green eggs (spinach and eggs) and ham, a little Dr. Seuss readathon, and a trip to the library to read The Lorax before going to the movies to watch the movie The Lorax that just came out this weekend. All The Lorax books were checked out, that is all the ENLGISH ones, but not the SPANISH ones. There was one left! Yes! The benefits of being bilingual!
The movie was really cute, I expected to have the same ambient or feeling as the book, a little....say...boring? But I was happy to find out that it didn't, in fact it was really cute and the girls loved it! The boy slept through the whole thing, perfect!

Day 63- Cat in the Hat.
Cat in the Hat
March 3, 2012
"Be who you are, and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"- Dr. Seuss
We are celebration Dr. Seuss' birthday. I saw this idea on pinterest, and thought we'd give it a try.
After taking the picture I realized that we had left out the cup and the milk. Oh well! We tried!
**The only "little toy man" we have around here is Ken. That's got to change soon!

Day 61- Bubbles
Bubbles
March 1, 2012
Baby boy is feeling so much better! Just holding him and cuddling him was too boring for him today, good sign! So we popped out the bubbles. He loved them!
There she is, my little monkey, in the background. She wore that monkey custom all day today, again. I think the main reason she likes that custom is because of the stuffed belly, she pretends to have a baby in her belly. I guess this is a nice break from brides and princesses.
My little Chunky Monkey.
Day 60- Sassy Monkey.
Dressing up
Wednesday February 29, 2012
There is a monkey in my kitchen!
A sassy chunky monkey that is.
What is up with all this sassyness going on in here?
There must have been something in those pink cupcakes we baked today.
