Fathers day photo shoot.

This might look cute now. But if you notice there is not ONE picture where they are all smiling, looking at the camera and holding the letters the right way up ALL at the SAME time.

Oh well! We tried! and dad liked them anyway. I did too.

Hiking

We started off the Summer with a very ambitious goal of going on a hike every week on Fridays. So far it's has only worked ONCE. The one  place we have been to is called Ghost Falls at the Corner Canyons in Draper. After getting lost for about 45 mins, we finally found the right trail which we hiked on for  about another hour and a half to get to the falls. The weather was great, in the higher 80's, and the girls impressed me with how well they did. They get better every year. There was a little whining but they stuck it up and kept walking with a promise of a frozen yogurt treat on the way home- Everyone can use a little motivation, right?  Ry-guy did awesome and just took it all in, even took a little nap towards the end. If you are ever up there watch for rattle snakes, my sister and Jojo actually heard one and run for their dear lives.

Here are a few pictures from the girls' point of view- I took a camera to keep their minds busy during the hike, it helped a LOT.

 Getting started.

 Pretty Flowers.

The girls thought this boulder looked like a turtle. I think it looks like a dinosaur.

 Pretty good shot!

Bugs.

You can definitely tell a short little person took this one.

52 days

I can't believe a whole month of summer vacations has gone by already! As of today we have 52 days of Summer left to enjoy. I'm only counting them down because I will be sad to have them go back to school and I want to make the most of them. I know a little guy at home that will be the VERY bummed about it.
I've tried to keep it fun and have kept them very busy. Today I heard the first "Mom, I'm bored" coming from Jo. I think spending the afternoon at home because Naomi started feeling sick in the middle of the day might have had to do with it. I quickly fixed it with a nice stack of folded laundry to put away :)

Some of the things we did  this week:

Swimming and pic-nicking at the Park.

All three of my babies have spent many summer days at this park.

A visit to the Arts Museum after spending a week learning about Famous Artist and painting styles.

 Eyeing that pizza.

 Manti Pageant.

Ready to sleep watch the Pageant with our friends.

I'm trying to take more pictures because I realized that for a while there I stopped taking them and I do not want to forget this precious stages when they are still my little babies and I am still their favorite person (most of the time.) This way, when they have turned into teenage monsters, this will remind them that they once loved me and I used to be fun.

They make me smile.

I have been wanting to start blogging again, but have so much to try to catch up with and I don't even know where to start. So I just won't (try to catch up). Instead I will just post some cute pictures that make me smile every time I look at them.

I am 1 year old!

Here we go. My monthly picture session. I am 1 year old.
Why is mom making those funny faces?
Wow! That is kind of strange.
Actually, that is a little funny!
Wait a minute. Do that again!
Yeah, that!
Oh geez!
This woman cracks me up!
Ha-ha! I think I just peed my pants!
How about you hold me now?
Not that face again!
Why is she not holding me?
Someone please make her stop!

Naomi's First day of School

I can't believe the summer is over!! It flew by in the wink of an eye! It feels like every year gets shorter than the one before. And even though we had a fun summer, back to school seemed to have sneaked back out of nowhere! The girls were excited about going back to school and I am excited about this new phase my little buddy and I are starting where we get to spend the mornings together just him and I.

This is Naomi's first day back to school. She is a first grader!!! Oh my do I feel old! Next thing you know she will be a teenager. She loves Justing Beiber, and already talks about driving when she turns 16! Eeeek! Anyway, isn't this the cutest little first grader ever? She picked her own outfit and everything. I love my little first grader! Here it is to an awesome year!

Naomi is in an Extended Learning Dual Immersion Program where she gets to continue with her same class every year. This is the way Elementary Schools in Mexico do it and I loved being able to grow up with my friends all through Elementary School. I made lifelong friendships and are still in touch with my childhood best friends. I'm excited to see my Naomi make those strong life long bonds with her friends.

I am 11 months

One of his new things this month. If you ask him "Donde esta la Luna?" -(Where is the moon?) He will point up.
Also ask him to do "Ojitos" and he will blink his eyes.

I think I have done a better job at speaking english only to him- it only took two trials and error to learn my lesson. Hopefully he will be more fluent in Spanish than his sisters, even though they do pretty well. Wow! It's been 11 months!

Summer

Recently I read a weekly parenting newsletter  I am subscribed to. It talked about taking pictures so you can look back  and remember  the summer days to get you through the winter months. Oh! How I dread the winter months! I love taking pictures, specially of my family. I started the year with the goal of taking and posting one picture a day. I am sad to have had so many days, weeks, go by without a picture this year and not keeping up with  that goal. But I guess is not too late to try and get back on track, right? Besides, I haven't completely  stopped taking pictures, I just haven't posted them here. At this point it would be too much to try and catch up, so I won't. However, I will try to catch up posting about our summer; The girls taking off swimming in the last few weeks, enjoying low profile days at home with baby Ryan, Jojo  riding her bike with no training wheels, daddy and Jojo turning one year older, toothfairy visits, hikes, picinics at the park, family, ice cream, making jam, and we still have a whole month left!!
